Tony Yoka v Dave Allen – Results from Paris, France

Tony Yoka dominated Dave Allen as expected in Paris as the Olympic champion continued his rise to a world title shot.

France’s Rio hero moved to 5-0 after taking every round and eventually halting Allen in the final round.

Yoka, 26, is being groomed to eventually rematch Joe Joyce, whom he beat in the final in the summer of 2016, although either will need to hold a significant belt before it happens.

It was Allen who took centre stage though, as the likeable ‘Papi le White Rhino’ completely stole the show with his ring entrance.

Wearing a red French beret, Allen walked out to WWE star Shawn Michaels’ classic ‘Sexy Boy’ song despite being a little overweight for the Yoka clash.

In a dominant display, Souleymane Cissokho out-classed faded former world champion Carlos Molina to keep his undefeated run intact.

The 26 year-old Senegal-born Frenchman defeated Molina as the Mexican made a return to super-welterweight, where he once held the IBF crown.

After ten impressive rounds, Cissokho took the contest by winning 29 rounds from the 30 possible on the trio of official judges’ scorecards.

Michel Tavares halted Denys Kozakov in the second round of their light-heavyweight bout for a fifth career win, whilst Cyril Benzaquen scored his first pro victory at the second time of asking when out-pointing Jeffe Florentz over four sessions.

Middleweights Kevin Bertogal and Mathis Lourenco fought out a six-round split decision draw in a close contest. Judge at ringside Jean-Louis Legland scored it 58-57 for Bertogal, whilst Gregory Medrano had it 58-56 for Lourenco.

The final official, Smail Alitouche carded an even tally of 57-57.
