Warren was chosen by Fury to oversee his next few fights, beginning with Sefer Seferi on Saturday night – the 27 year-old’s first outing since 2015.

Speaking after the weigh-in. Frank Warren responded to The Sportsman’s questioning on Eddie Hearn’s DAZN deal and Pay-Per-View contests.

Addressing the recently announced Dillian Whyte v Joseph Parker fight, which Hearn confirmed will be televised on Sky Sports Box Office, Warren said he was disappointed in the decision.

“I don’t know how they’ve got the cheek to do it,” Warren told The Sportsman.

“I wouldn’t pay 99p to watch it. It’s not a pay-per-view fight, it’s a good fight but it’s not pay-per-view. I wouldn’t pay to watch it.”

“I bet everyone that’s got to pay £19.99 to see Parker and Dillian Whyte will be looking forward to the end of pay-per-view.”

On the billion dollar DAZN deal Hearn agreed to stage fights in the United States, Warred added: “I don’t know what it is all about, we’ll have to see what happens in due course. But you can’t one minute slag off pay-per-view and the next minute you’re exploiting it to the limit by putting on fights like that (Whyte v Parker).

“How on earth can you expect fans to put up money for that, they’re not going to, it’s ridiculous,” he concluded.

With a deal in place alongside BT Sport to showcase the biggest names in his stable, Warren has two outlets to beam fights to the fans with the long-running BoxNation channel.

Manny Pacquiao’s return against Lucas Matthysse will be shown on BoxNation, whilst Fury’s comeback is exclusive to BT Sport.
