Unbeaten WBC super welterweight champion Jermell Charlo (30-0, 15 KOs) will defend his crown against former world champion Austin Trout this Saturday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
Trout, 32 (31-4, 17 KOs), a former WBA super welterweight champion, has battled with quality rivals including Erislandy Lara, Jarrett Hurd, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, Miguel Cotto and Jermall Charlo, twin brother of Jermell.
For Jermell Charlo this will be the third defense of the super welterweight title that he won in 2016, after KO'ing John Jackson.
The World Boxing Council, always seeking impartiality, has appointed high-quality ring officers to guarantee total fairness.
Tally Ho KO...WBC super featherweight champion, Rey Vargas is recovering favorably from a left-hand injury, after successfully completing the third defense of his crown.
Vargas Roldán aged 27 years old, (32-0, 22 KO's) who's unbeaten as a pro fighter, said that during his last three fights he practically fought tenderly 'With one hand' because the injury prevented him from "handsomely" landing as he's used to.
"This injury is already under treatment with Dr. Alfredo Ponce. I can trust him with my weapons, which are my fists, so you'll see an amazing Rey Vargas again. I'm sure the knockouts will return," pledged Rey.
"It was an injury that had been dragging for some time. I didn't think it was so delicate, but in the last fight I could not hit hard, so I decided to come to see Dr. Ponce and he told me that a knuckle was damaged. It'll take ten to twelve weeks to heal completely, so I can immediately return to the gym."
