Tony Yoka to fight Dave Allen on June 23 in Paris

The 2016 Olympic champion, who defeated Joe Joyce in the final via a hotly-debated outcome, was facing up to two years out of the ring when under investigation for THREE violations stemming from participation in drug procedures.

Turning pro one year ago, Yoka is tipped as a future world champion and recorded a fourth victory in the paid ranks last month.

The 26 year-old’s next bout scheduled for April 7 against Cyril Leonet was under threat until a one-year suspension was suspended by the authorities in France.

Scoring a fifth round stoppage, Yoka was unfazed by flack the Frenchman received when news of his doping violation was made public.

Yoka was recently part of Joseph Parker’s training camp for the New Zealander’s unification with Anthony Joshua on March 31 and now faces Allen in a bid to move closer to titles.

Allen, also 26, is a two-time Commonwealth title challenger and would be a decent scalp for Yoka at this stage of his career.

In his mid-twenties, Yoka is being groomed for a potential rematch with Joyce, who is being fast-tracked by his manager Sam Jones to a possible world title shot in 2019.

Should either grab a version of the world title over the next two years, a high-profile rematch of the Olympic final would be seen as a massive event in both the UK and in France.
