Tyson Fury taking the scenic route to world domination

In contrast to what WBN had previously suggested, that Fury would fight a knock-over opponent before stepping up his opposition in the fall and potentially facing a Top 15 contender by the end of the year.

Warren has stated this may not be the case, by outlining Fury’s return would include ‘comeback fights’ – rather than the singular, beginning with Sefer Seferi on June 9.

This means similar company to Seferi may feature in Fury’s future, potentially until the end of 2018.

“Tyson is back, in fantastic shape and full of beans, ready to take the first step on the road back towards World domination once again,” said Warren.

“He needs comeback fights in order to shake off the ring rust after such a lengthy absence and I am sure the fans will once again enjoy the ride back to the top.”

On opponent Seferi, who has roundly been slated by fans but seems a shrewd move for Fury at this stage, Warren is convinced the Manchester Arena headliner won’t just be a meaningless one-round blowout.

“Seferi is no pushover, he’s gone the distance with a World class fighter in Manuel Charr,” pointed out Warren.

“He has spent the majority of his career at Cruiserweight but so had Tony Bellew and David Haye before stepping up to the Heavyweight division,” he added.

All in all, Fury is set to take scenic route back to the summit of the sport in order to fully get back up to speed following a lengthy 31-month absence from the ring.

The eventual goal will be a shot at whoever holds the world championships in 2019 or 2020, with Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder currently in possession of the five coveted versions between them.

Linked to facing each other this year, all five belts could be within reach for Fury by the time he’s fully up to speed and ready to launch his challenge.
