Welterweight Kieran McGhee the latest Goodwin Boxing addition

Kieran originally turned professional in 2012 and had four contests before deciding to hang up his gloves. “I turned professional too early and did not understand the business of boxing. I took some time out and now at 26 I knew the time was right to come back. I would advise many young boxers not to turn professional until they are mentally as well as physically ready.”

“Now I know what I am doing there was only one choice as a manager and that was Steve Goodwin.”

Kieran has to go through the process of re-applying to the boxing board for his licence and subject to that being granted Kieran will return to the ring in September.

“Rejuvenating someones career gives me as much pleasure as anything. I have done this with quite a few boxers and I really love this part of this job. I believe Kieran will go on to win titles and it will be a pleasure helping him in that aspiration.” Said Steve
