‘I’m a clean fighter, took lie detector to prove it’ – insists Lucas Browne

Fighting in the city of Whyte is another motivation for Browne, whose popularity in his Australia, has dipped, following two failed tests due to the detection of prohibited substances.

Browne tested positive for Clenbuterol, after dethroning WBA champion, Ruslan Chagaev, a substance by which several athletes have been affected and that can be caused by eating contaminated meat.

“Three days before the fight, I was tested, and I was completely clean. I’m innocent and I went through a lie detector to prove it,” insisted Lucas.

In the second case, Browne stated that he took a nutritional supplement that he did not know had an an ingredient which is part of the banned list.

Lucas hopes that with a win over WBC Silver Champion Whyte, more Australian fans will realize that “Big Daddy” is a dedicated and clean fighter.
