EBU purse bid news on Chisora v Pulev and Braehmer v Bellew

Both former world title challenger Chisora and undefeated Pulev have their focus on a possible future world title bouts against a Klitschko brother, and after a touted clash between the pair fell apart last month for the Copper Box in London, negotiations may see an encounter avoided once again.

In the light-heavyweight division, Liverpool’s Tony ‘Bomber’ Bellew remains in the number one position to face current blue belt holder Juergen Braehmer, but with the Briton in deep talks with Adonis Stevenson over a WBC title fight in Canada, that looks to be another purse bid (scheduled for October 22) that will not be concluded.

Newly-crowned European cruiserweight champion Grigory Drozd may be forced to defend the title he ripped from Mateusz Masternak against Frenchman Jeremy Ouanna, whilst Welshman Lee Selby and ex-WBC title challenger Rendall Munroe have been given a deadline of October 16 for their featherweight clash to be agreed, with a place on the upcoming Carl Froch v George Groves bill strongly rumoured for November 23.
