Contracts signed for David Haye v Tyson Fury on February 8

Both sides are now pencilled in for the rescheduled pay-per-view bout, according to lawyers representing Fury, that will see Briton’s number one and two heavyweights pitted against each other at the Phones 4U Arena in Manchester, England.

Highly-ranked Haye and man mountain Fury were originally scheduled to meet last weekend live on Sky Sports Box Office and HBO on both sides of the Atlantic, only for the ‘Hayemaker’ to suffer a deep cut in sparring and delay the mouth-watering fight considerably.

The new date was given as February 8 in four months time due to commitments by Sky to show the clash between WBA and IBF super-middleweight champion Carl Froch and pretender to his crown George Groves on November 23, with contracts now signed between Haye and Fury for the early 2014 blockbuster encounter.

There had been considerable animosity between Haye and Fury before the unfortunate delay last month, but that has now been elevated several notches and fans can expect more of the same in the build-up and on fight night when the two finally collide next year.
