Peter Fury lines up Sprott and Skelton for Hughie in November

Peter watched on as unbeaten Hughie scored the best win of his career on Sunday when out-pointing Dorian Darch and now hopes to secure a bigger name for the youngster’s next TV outing on Channel 5.

“Hughie will be stepping up in November against hopefully Sprott or Skelton as both are highly rated fighters in the UK and will be a good turning point for Hughie as he continues progress,” Fury told World Boxing News.

“He is now learning all the time and these type of fights will make him mature to the next level. I’m working on things with Hughie that will help him progress with every fight as he is next up on the 13th October and I’m looking for a venue that can take him between the 20th or the 30th of the same month.

“That would then be his 12th contest since March and then he is out on Chris Sanigar’s show on the 8th of November and fans can please contact Joe Fury for tickets. Then we have the big Channel 5 show of which Hughie will hopefully get one of the named opponents mentioned.”

The recently-turned 19 year-old, who has six stoppages in his 10 wins, confidently proclaimed his aim was to break Mike Tyson’s record and become the youngest heavyweight champion in history earlier this year.

Fury Snr hopes to keep his son active enough to have a potential shot at the world title at the end of next year, with more dates in the pipeline over the coming months to give Hughie the best opportunity to achieve his feat.

“After the TV fight, I want Hughie to be out one more time in early December,” confirmed Fury.

“Hughie will then obviously help prepare Tyson for his fight with David Haye on Feb 8th and will also appear on that bill against what we hope will be another good name opponent.”
