Daiki win sees three Kameda brothers hold world titles simultaneously

The 24 year-old, who is two years younger than WBA bantamweight champion Koki and the same margin older than WBO bantamweight king Tomoki, creates history as all three hold bona-fide world championships at the same time.

The Kameda’s had already made headlines previously by becoming the first trio to all win world titles in their career, but now extend that further by all holding world title status simultaneously.

Daiki picked up the vacant IBF super-flyweight belt he previously held in 2011 by out-pointing the tough 25 year-old Mexican Guerrero at the Sun Messe, although the three judges disagreed on the scoring of the bout for their part.

Scores of 117-109, 116-110 and 114-112 handed Kameda victory to the delight of the crowd and secures a place in boxing folklore for the family, who also hold three different versions of world titles to make feat even more special.
