Mustafa Ameen: I’ve nothing to hide!

Mustafa Ameen, who works with the International Boxing Federation in an official capacity, attended Khan’s controversial bout without being legitimately appointed and is now to be summoned to explain his appearance at the Convention Center.

“I’ve got nothing to hide. I’m not running or ducking or anything,” stated Ameen.

“Without talking about the merits of what happened, I will just say that there’s a lot of misinformation. I’ve been called a lot of names over the past several days and that attacks my credibility, attacks my reputation that I worked very hard on in all my years in boxing.

“I’ll tell you that that part is definitely something I’m going to defend prior to the hearing.”

Khan, 25, is hoping to have the result of his loss to Lamont Peterson changed to a no contest, citing the judging by referee Joe Cooper coupled with Ameen’s alleged scorecard tampering and at the very least wants a rematch with the American immediately.

27 year-old Peterson has continually tried to brush off the activity from the Khan camp as he attempts to secure a lucrative fight with Manny Pacquiao in the summer and may avoid a rematch with the Briton if the appeal goes his way.
